Pay and reward
The salary ranges for our Social Worker roles are:

NQSW (ASYE): Starting at £35,235 plus £4,000, with a one-year program that includes protected casework, 1:1 mentoring, and support.

Level 2 Social Worker: £36,124 to £40,476 plus £4,000, upon successful completion of ASYE.

Level 3 Social Worker: £41,511 to £45,718 plus £4,000, career graded (panel assessment to move to level 3).

Senior Practitioner: £46,731 to £50,788 plus £4,000, demonstrating ability to hold complex casework and mentor social workers.

Deputy Team Manager: £51,802 to £56,927 plus £4,000, responsible for day-to-day decision making and supervision.

Team Manager: £58,757 to £62,415 plus £4,000, empowering and managing team performance.

Service Manager: £64,855 to £69,733 plus £4,000, overseeing multiple social work teams and service outcomes.
New social workers to MKCC who join one of the following teams will also receive a Golden Hello payment of £6,000 in their first month of starting with the council (subject to terms & conditions).
